Hautes Fagnes Gravel

Discover Belgium’s highest peaks and the natural park of the Hautes Fagnes with your gravel bike.
This gravel route will bring you there climbing out the Amblève Valley direction of Moulin du Ruy before entering the forest and crossing La Haute Levée heading towards the Formule 1 race circuit.

After crossing Francorchamps you will follow a Ravel ( asphalted ex rail way ) to Hockay with some fun singletrack. To get on it, you will have to take a 180 degrees left turn after riding under a bridge.
Here you will start entering the Hautes Fagnes area.
Crossing some beautifull straight & technical gravel sections you will arrive at ‘ Le Signal de Botrange ‘ Belgium’s highest peak at 694m. Perfect and only place there for a food & drink stop.
( we recommend the soup or Ardennes Omelette. )

From here you would think it can only go down, which it does following the ‘ Warche ‘ valley untill Malmédy.
If you are really out of fuel just follow the Ravel back to Trois Ponts & Coo.
If not you will climb up back to Francorchamps, hitting some proper gravel back home heading to two of the most epic peak views in Belgium just above the café. Ride down the Thier de Coo and you are back at the café.
